(Sept. 26, 2025) – Laughlin Constable Public Relations (LCPR) announced that it has received a Golden Trumpet Award from the Publicity Club of Chicago (PCC) for its strategic planning and execution of an opening ceremony and celebration event for Cullinan Properties — a leading developer of real estate specializing in commercial and mixed-use developments and acquisitions — in partnership with Illinois Department of Transportation. The event recognized the opening of the new Illinois’ Interchange at I-55 and IL 59 near I-80, which marked a significant milestone of the I-55 at IL 59 Access Project. That state and federal project is designed to improve safety and increase access to the rapidly growing Joliet region, including direct access to Rock Run Collection, a 310-acre super regional mixed-use development owned and developed by Cullinan.
“Earning this recognition from the Publicity Club of Chicago is a proud moment for our team,” said Kris Naidl, APR, executive vice president and head of PR at Laughlin Constable. “This award reflects the dedication and creativity that went into bringing Cullinan Properties’ vision to life from strategy and planning to seamless execution. We’re honored to have played a role in a project that is vital to the safety and continued improvement of infrastructure in Illinois.”
In collaboration with the Cullinan team, LCPR was present from planning to execution. The team managed event planning, partner coordination, media relations, media training and event execution for this celebration, resulting in attendance by multiple federal and state Illinois government leaders, as well as garnering television, radio, print, online and broadcast media attention.
LCPR was previous recognized at the Publicity Club of Chicago Golden Trumpet Awards in 2024 for its work with O&H Danish Bakery and in 2023 for its work with the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.
The Cullinan Properties work was also recognized by Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Chicago at the 2025 Skyline Awards. LCPR has previously received national PRSA Silver and Bronze Anvil Awards, PRSA Southeast Wisconsin Paragon Awards and was a 2022 PRWeek US Award finalist.
