(Aug. 24, 2026) - Laughlin Constable has earned a Communication Arts Award of Excellence for the second year in a row, this time for its “World of Darkness” out-of-home work for the Bronx Zoo, part of the Wildlife Conservation Society. The recognition follows last year’s Award of Excellence for “The Difference,” LC’s Master Lock work promoting responsible firearm storage.
The campaign leaned into the exhibit’s most powerful asset: the dark itself. Built around stark outdoor placements, glowing animal eyes and just enough mystery, the work invited people to look a little closer, then think twice about what might be looking back.
The recognition comes from Communication Arts’ 67th annual Advertising Competition. Winning work was chosen by a jury of creative professionals on the basis of creative excellence and quality of execution.
The selected projects will appear in the November/December 2026 issue of Communication Arts in both print and digital editions. Congratulations to our partners at the Bronx Zoo and everyone at LC who helped bring “World of Darkness” into the light.
