Clio Award 2024

Laughlin Constable Awarded Coveted Bronze Clio for the ASPCA "Through Their Eyes" Campaign

Campaign's four spots, including its 2023 Canine Competition ad, awarded in "Film Craft (editing)" category

CHICAGO (April 11, 2024)—Independent full-service agency Laughlin Constable today announced it has been recognized by the Clio Awards as a 2024 Bronze Winner in the category of Film Craft (Editing) within the entry of Public Service, for its campaign with client the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).

The Clio Awards, founded in 1959 to honor excellence in advertising, celebrates bold work that propels the advertising industry forward, inspires a competitive marketplace of ideas and fosters meaningful connections within the creative community.

The award-winning campaign, “Through Their Eyes,” debuted in 2022 and demonstrates what the ASPCA does day in and day out to improve the lives of animals across the country, all from the perspective of those very animals. The goal of the campaign was to raise awareness and educate on the organization’s national impact through programs, including relocation, adoption of vulnerable animals, rescue and rehabilitation and equine rehoming. The four spots ran in select markets, as well as nationally when the ASPCA “Through Their Eyes” campaign made a national TV debut during the 2023 Canine Competition broadcast that runs opposite football’s biggest game of the year.

“To get the opportunity to work on telling the less known story of the ASPCA brand with the Through Their Eyes campaign is rewarding work alone. I’m so proud of our team who gave this meaningful and important campaign the care it deserved every step of the way, and I’m honored that their skill, hard work and dedication was recognized with an industry-coveted Clio,” said Pat Laughlin, chief creative officer at Laughlin Constable.

The campaign spots were edited by LC’s in-house production company, HIVE, led by industry veteran Carrie Nygren with Connor Weitz as senior editor.

LC has been the ASPCA’s digital agency of record for the past five years.
